Portal controls overview

Data & Access Practices

The MRI Academy Portal is designed around least-privilege access: users receive only the level of access needed for their role.

Students

Access their own attendance, schedules, clinical-hour progress, and correction workflow.

Instructors

Access student records needed for training operations, attendance review, approvals, and Academy notes.

Program Liaisons

Read-only access to authorized students associated with their own school.

Academy Admins

Manage portal authorization, partner schools, student records, and Academy-wide operations.

Authentication and authorization

Authentication verifies who is signing in. Authorization is separately enforced by the Academy’s portal rules so an authenticated account does not automatically receive access to training records.

Attendance integrity

Clock-in and clock-out records are separated from approved clinical hours. Missing clock-outs and other exceptions require verification. Students cannot directly convert attendance into official clinical credit.

Auditability

Key portal actions are recorded in an application audit log so important changes and approvals can be traced to an authorized user.

Patient information

The portal is not intended to store patient medical records or patient-identifying information. Academy users are instructed to keep clinical-education records separate from patient information.

Operational review

Access should be reviewed when students complete training or when instructors and school personnel change roles. Academy administrators can deactivate portal access when it is no longer needed.
